Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

IF Relations & Services Scope


  • Plan and align all service levels applicable to the IF (food, transport etc.), engaging with various internal functional areas and the Sport Manager in the venues
  • Develop the IF Communication plan for pre-Games and Games-time to include both presentations, publications and any other formal communications to the Ifs.
  • Work on a Milano Cortina 2026 specific Sport Delivery Plan template and validate the document with IOC and IPC Sport.
  • Coordinate the production of the SPD for all pending matters, engaging with the respective MICO26 functions and with the Sport Managers.


IF Services Planning


  • Ensure that the IF Services to be delivered at GT are aligned with MICO26 policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all Games-time requirements for the IF Delegates, International Technical Officials and National Technical Official have been defined, validated, planned and budgeted for.
  • Draft a Games-time operating plan for IF Relations and Services.
  • In coordination with Milano Cortina 2026 functions develop a strategy for the delivery of all contractual obligations related to Technical Officials Services at Games-time.
  • Support Sport Publications in the development of all Technical Officials Guides for each Olympic and Paralympic Sport, innovating on previous Games models where possible.
  • As the client owner for IFs review and provide feedback to other Milano Cortina 2026 Functions on their service delivery plans.
  • Coordinate with each Sport Manager on the planning for IF Services at each competition venue, mapping services and service levels.
  • Coordinate the training and coaching of the IF Support person in each competition venue, providing an overview of all level of service agreed to be provided to the IF at Games time, focusing on preparing this person for being an operational support at venue level for all IF population.



Administration, Budget & Program Management


  • Centrally track IF communications, visits and other engagement activities, providing status updates and reports to the IF Relations & Services manager Sport Director and Group Sport Managers.
  • Provide reports and updates on the status of deliverables and tasks to communicate overall progress on the IF Relations and Services project.
  • Develop reports on the status of deliverables within each Sport Delivery Plan, coordinating with other Functions to provide a dashboard on SDP progress, changes, issues and risks.


IF Services - Games-Time


  • Provide centralized support and reporting of all Sport operations during the Games via a role within the Sport Operations Center.
  • Lead a small team of IF support staff to coordinate the delivery of services outside of the competition and training venues to the IF.


Background & Qualifications:


  • 5-7 years' experience in client services and relationship management, ideally in the sport's industry
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues on client services including accommodation, hospitality and transport.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues.
  • Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work
  • Required proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization and with external stakeholders, while balancing assertiveness with diplomacy-
  • Ability to implement and manage change effectively-
  • Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging-
  • Experience considering diverse groups of athletes in Sport planning and delivery, with special attention to how ability, gender, and other identities impact different athletes' experiences.
  • English Proficiency Level is considered mandatory (other languages will be considered a plus).
  • Good Italian Level is considered desirable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of International Federations and their role within the Olympic and Paralympic Movements.
  • Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative mindset; someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego.
  • An innovative viewpoint, willing to challenge the status quo and thinking ahead to the future possibilities within the Movement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a close team environment.
