Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Main Media Centre (MMC) will be the central hub and workplace for media accredited to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, bringing together the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and the Main Press Centre (MPC).
Working alongside the Main Media Centre Venue General Manager, the Main Media Centre Deputy Manager will be responsible for supporting and delivering the planning and operations as well as for the execution of media services at the MMC for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role ensures that accredited media and broadcasters have the necessary facilities, technology and support to deliver world-class coverage of the Games.
- Assist the Main Media Centre Venue General Manager and the venue management team in the overall planning, delivery, implementation and daily operation of the MMC;
- Lead the MMC venue team and oversee operations in the absence of the Venue General Manager;
- Support with the preparation and delivery of Venue Team Meetings, venue documentation and Venue Operations Plans;
- Oversee the coordination of services provided to accredited media, including access passes, logistics, common areas, retail, food and beverage and technical infrastructure;
- Collaborate with functional areas such as Broadcast Services, Press Services, Logistics, Technology, Security, Transport, Venue Infrastructure, Energy, Food and Beverage and Clean and Waste to ensure seamless venue operations;
- Support executing crisis management protocols, including security and emergency response planning;
- Organize and deliver readiness exercises to ensure the venue team is well prepared for various operational scenarios;
- Monitor the day-to-day operations of the MMC, troubleshooting issues, reporting and ensuring smooth workflows;
- Maintain close communication with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), IOC Media Operations and Media Rights Holders to address their needs and ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines and Milano Cortina 2026 policies and procedures;
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including the venue owner, Comune di Milano, public authorities, and other relevant entities to ensure smooth coordination and compliance with local regulations;
- Assist with staff and volunteer management, including training delivery, scheduling, and on-site coordination. Management of the Venue Communication Centre and the team of Operations Managers and Supervisors;
- Provide detailed reports and debriefs post-event, documenting lessons learned and key takeaways for future events.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in large-scale event management, or venue management, preferably in a sport or Olympic context;
- Strong understanding of media requirements, including broadcasting, press operations and technology;
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while maintaining strong problem-solving skills;
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams;
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise across different functional areas and cultural backgrounds;
- Proficiency in English; Italian and additional languages are a plus;
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and event-time shifts;
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint) for planning, reporting and communication.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Games environment;
- Familiarity with venue management and/or media processes and media-specific logistics;
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and remain solution-oriented.
