As the Head of Talent Operations, Americas, you will be responsible for the full scope of our talent operations, ensuring all processes from payroll and benefits to contracts and HR compliance run with precision and care for both our corporate and retail populations. Reporting to the Director of Talent, Americas and sitting on the Americas Talent Team, you will serve as the functional expert for the region, partnering closely with global systems and stakeholders to build a scalable and human-centered foundation for our growth across the US, Brazil, Canada, and Latin America.
Your Mission
- Own the day-to-day talent operations across the Americas, ensuring seamless execution of all payroll, benefits, and HR processes for a diverse population including both corporate and retail team members
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Talent Operations Specialists, ensuring their ongoing professional development and alignment with our business goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all talent operations-related inquiries for the region
- Lead the operational rollout for new talent systems and processes, ensuring successful adoption and implementation across all teams
- Proactively identify and resolve complex HR compliance issues, staying ahead of local regulations and providing expert guidance to stakeholders
- Contribute to On’s Retail growth guiding the areas of Talent Operations, to ensure we have the proper set up to scale and grow the retail population in new US states and countries.
- Co-create scalable processes and documentation that support our rapid growth and expansion into new markets like Latin America
- Partner with the global Talent Operations team, providing regional insights and ensuring alignment on systems and operational standards
- Guide and support our People Leaders and employees through complex situations related to contracts, job changes, and off-boarding
Your story
- You bring 8+ years of progressive experience in talent operations, human resources, or a related field, with deep functional knowledge of payroll, benefits, and HR compliance for both corporate and retail employee populations
- You have 5+ years of direct people leadership experience, guiding a team to deliver operational excellence and high-quality employee support
- You are a systems-thinker who can translate business needs into operational workflows, leveraging technology to create scalable and efficient processes.
- Deep understanding of Workday and HRIS data management.
- You have proven experience in navigating complex state, regional and country-specific regulations, particularly in the US, Brazil, or Canada, and can anticipate future challenges in expansion
- You demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential employee information
- You are an expert communicator and relationship builder, capable of partnering with diverse stakeholders from individual employees to senior leaders

Step Five
The Experience Day
Your first taste of the Oniverse. This is a time to meet some of the people you'll be working closest with. In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.
