Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

  • Support to the Head of Energy for the management of activities towards IOC and the interface with all internal functional areas of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 with the objectives of: planning, participation, management and reporting of all meetings, support for the preparation of documents IOCs linked to the management of Milestones, support for monitoring the energy budget with the interested areas, support for the development of technical activities of interest to the energy area with electricity sector operators and local representatives (site designers) and with the IOC energy and technology area .
  • Possible participation in the development of projects of interest for sustainability issues with partners, suppliers, other third parties.
  • Coordination of the Project Office created to structure the management of the entire energy process by the Head of Energy staff. Management of the milestones of the Energy functional area in support of the Head of Energy
  • Support to the Head of Energy for the supervision of the internal activities of the Energy area in charge of the other resources (consultants)
  • Interface towards all internal/external subjects involved in the Energy area process (MICO2026 functional areas, IOC, external internal consultants local contacts for Olympic sites)

Requirements

  • Master Degree student for curricular internship (or graduate) in order of priority electrical engineering ( pref. smart grids), energy engineering (pref. Renewables and Enviromental Sustainability address), Management engineering (pref. energy and environmental managment address)
  • Compatible with studies that are not out of course
  • Preferably (not be considered strictly binding) the areas of the degree course of interest are: electricale engineering; energy engineering, managment engineering
  • Good level of spoken and written English. Need for interface with IOC and for verbal and written communication with various stakeholders (email and documents)
  • Good knowledge and use of the office package and related applications, use of software for project planning and management.
