Job Overview:

Wasserman is looking for a motivated individual to join the Wasserman Strategy & Consulting team on Brands and Properties vertical. This position is responsible for overseeing and leading sponsorship strategy while additionally supporting portfolio measurement efforts. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.

What You'll Do: 

  • Oversees and facilitate all sponsorship strategy, brand marketing strategy, measurement efforts, performance marketing projections, and budget forecasting across client partnerships in the sports and entertainment ecosystem.  
  • Strategic thinker who has the ability to research and analyze data from multiple sources to develop client-focused narratives and recommendations (e.g., market landscapes, audience intelligence, net-new partnership opportunities).
  • Uses forward-thinking initiative to identify the next strategic opportunities; creative storyteller that can properly position net-new strategic partnerships to solve specific business challenges.
  • Understands the landscape for each client’s business/sector as well as the industry contexts for their investments. Builds cutting edge strategic plans for clients to meet/exceed objectives with the support of insights and data from team members.
  • Supports the agency’s internal research and insights team to properly measure sponsorship efforts across client portfolio.
  • An analytical thinker that has the ability to leverage data and insights to inform future-facing strategic optimizations; ability to leverage historical data to project performance.
  • Constantly monitor the market and competitive intelligence within the sports and entertainment landscape.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with key stakeholders to ensure all parties receive appropriate attention, support, and ensures Wasserman is in lock-step with the client’s plans as it relates to the growth and changes.
  • Oversees and directs team members in client service, measurement, general relationship development, project coordination and internal agency resource coordination.
  • Proven ability to build relationship with primary client point-of-contact; acts as the day-to-day lead, setting the tone for regular formal and informal check ins, status meetings, troubleshooting and advancing the business.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow existing client accounts through upsell, cross-sell, and expanded scopes of work
  • Can demonstrate experience leading teams through condensed timelines over several time zones, multiple deliverables in parallel, various stakeholders and adhering to a process that ensures deliverable completion and maintains the highest quality possible

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree 7+ years relevant experience with minimum 5 years of direct experience in account and project management.
  • Specific experience working in sports and entertainment ecosystem with an emphasis on brand marketing strategy.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel for deck development and budget management.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
  • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to motivate team to accomplish goals and develop professional skills.
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent with a high level of initiative; works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
