About the Company

Fanatics Collect is a global product and technology group dedicated to revolutionizing the world of collectibles. Every single day our team of experienced product leaders, engineers, and operators obsesses over how to create the ultimate collector experience with our products: Topps.com, the direct to consumer ecommerce platform of the Topps brand, Fanatics Collect, the most trusted and dynamic collector focused marketplace, and our collector focused live shopping platforms, Fanatics Live and Voggt.

We have the unique advantage of being backed by Fanatics - the world’s largest sports merchandiser, with more than 900 global sports relationships, 90+ million reachable fans, and exclusive licensing deals with the MLB, NFL, and NBA among many others - but we’re a nimble, ambitious team building products from the ground up.

If you're passionate about building world class products and share our love for sports fans and collectors, Fanatics Collect offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team creating the future of collecting.

About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President of Fanatics Collect, the Vice President of Vintage & Ultra-High-End Sales will lead the development and rapid growth of a new business line spanning the vintage trading card and ultra-premium ($500,000+) consignment markets. This executive will be directly responsible for making Fanatics Collect a major player in both categories across auctions, fixed-price listings, and private sales.

This is a quota-carrying, externally facing role requiring deep industry expertise, an established client network, and the ability to drive sales execution while building scalable infrastructure and team capabilities. The ideal candidate will balance entrepreneurial hustle with operational discipline and deliver a world-class experience to high-value clients and consignors.

You’ll be responsible for sourcing elite inventory, managing direct client relationships, driving revenue growth, analyzing performance, and supporting intake and storage processes through our auction platform, fixed-price marketplace, and on-site vault.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Scale the Business: Establish and grow Fanatics Collect’s presence in the vintage and ultra-high-end card markets, targeting $10M/month in revenue within the first year.
  • Client Development & Deal Execution: Bring and expand a personal book of business of high-value consignors, collectors, and dealers. Execute consistent private sales of $500K+ and manage high-stakes relationships with professionalism and discretion.
  • Sales Strategy & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on all relevant sales metrics, asset submissions, and final sale outcomes to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Inventory Intake & Curation: Oversee intake of inventory into the auction, fixed-price, and vault ecosystem. Confirm, price, and track assets throughout the consignment lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to develop tools, workflows, and experiences that advance Collect revenue goals and enhance the client journey.
  • Client Experience Excellence: Serve as a hands-on point of contact for elite clients via phone, email, text, and social media. Provide ongoing support across auction, fixed price, private sale, and vault services, while responding to all inquiries, issues, and transactional questions with urgency and care.
  • Industry Insight & Representation: Stay ahead of industry trends in the vintage and high-end trading card market and represent Fanatics Collect at trade shows and industry events.
  • Team Growth: Hire and lead a team of sales representatives and support staff as the business scales, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and customer obsession.
  • Partner Enablement: Onboard and develop new B2B partners and work with existing business owners to grow and elevate their presence on the Fanatics Collect platform.
  • Private Sale Facilitation: Lead the identification, negotiation, and execution of high-value private sales, coordinating logistics and delivering a seamless client experience.
  • Operational Coordination: Collaborate daily with Sales Support, Customer Service, Vault Operations, and Legal to manage inventory flow and ensure smooth client outcomes.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required in support of strategic and day-to-day business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in sales, client development, or business leadership roles in the collectibles, luxury goods, or adjacent markets—with 5+ years leading high-value revenue functions.
  • Proven success driving multi-million-dollar transactions and owning deep, trust-based client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to launch or scale a new business line, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the trading card market, including vintage and ultra-high-end segments.
  • Strong operational fluency with consignment, authentication, and sales workflows.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills—especially with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Experience using CRM and sales tools to manage pipeline, track performance, and drive accountability.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client engagement and events.
  • Familiarity with auction platform technologies and/or vault-based inventory services.
  • Experience with grading and authentication systems.
  • A background in sourcing, curating, or appraising collectible inventory a plus.
