Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

We are looking for Village Facility Specialist.

The identified resource will deal with:

  • Support the Facility Coordinator and work as part of the Village Facility Management Team to oversee maintenance and facility operations during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. 
  • Ensure facility operations align with the overall objectives of the Olympic Village and the broader goals of the Games. 
  • Supervise maintenance teams to ensure all facilities are safe, functional, and operating at a high standard. 
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, safety concerns, and compliance issues. 
  • Serve as a primary contact for facility-related matters, taking proactive steps to resolve issues efficiently. 
  • Communicate effectively with site owners and stakeholders to coordinate efforts across all MICO Functional Areas and support seamless delivery of Village operations. 
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and other key facility-related information. 
  • Assist in implementing and supporting the installation of Olympic Village overlay designs.

Requirements

  • Qualification in engineering, facility management, or a related technical field. 
  • Soundknowledge of facility systems and equipment, an understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements would be an advantage. 
  • Previous involvement in Olympic/Paralympic or multi-sport event environments is highly desirable. 
  • Fluency in English and Italian, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. 
  • Decisive and accountable, able to make tough decisions and take responsibility in challenging situations. 
  • A team-oriented mindset with a hands-on attitude, always willing to go the extra mile for the success of the team and the project. 
  • Happy, self-motivated, maintaining a positive outlook and leading by example.
