Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Venue Logistics Specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics operations within the assigned venue in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The role will ensure the effective delivery of all logistical services throughout all event phases, including pre-event preparations, Games-time operations, and post-event dismantling.
Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and local stakeholders, the Venue Logistics Specialist will contribute to the smooth and timely implementation of logistics plans and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and execution of all logistics activities within the venue, including deliveries, storage, and on-site distribution of materials and equipment;
- Manage and follow up on logistics requests from different functional areas (e.g., Sport, Food and Beverage, Broadcasters, Security, Technology);
- Assist in the implementation of the Venue Operations Plan, focusing on logistics-related processes and needs;
- Monitor and support bump-in (set-up) and bump-out (dismantling) activities in collaboration with suppliers, contractors, and venue managers;
- Collaborate with on-site logistics teams, including staff, contractors, assigned to logistics functions;
- Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures during logistics operations;
- Serve as a point of contact for the central Logistics & Operations teams to report on progress and resolve issues;
- Maintain positive working relationships with local authorities, suppliers, and venue management to facilitate venue operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics or operational support roles, ideally within major events, sports competitions, or similar contexts;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; capacity to operate effectively in dynamic environments;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment;
- Knowledge of Cortina d'Ampezzo and surrounding areas, including local logistics and stakeholder dynamics, is a strong advantage;
- Fluent in Italian; good working knowledge of English (spoken and written);
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods;
- Proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence;
- Preference will be given to candidates with self-accommodation in the Cortina area.
