The IRFU are inviting applications for the role of Ticketing/Finance Business Partner.

The successful candidate will assist the Head of Ticketing in the operational delivery and revenue capture for all major Irish rugby events at Aviva stadium, as well as fixtures such as Women's / AIL / EPCR / Lions \ U20s and RWC, both home and away.

The position is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4.

Job Role:

This role will assist the Head of Ticketing in the operational delivery and revenue capture for all major Irish rugby events at Aviva stadium, as well as fixtures such as Women's / AIL / EPCR / Lions \ U20s and RWC, both home and away.                                                                                                                                                                                          

The key attribute of this new role will be enabling the seamless flow of accurate financial reporting between the Ticketing and Finance departments. Overseeing all aspects of financial management of the ticketing function.This will include the financial tracking of all key fixtures - tracking ticket sales from customer order right through to bank receipts / debtor recognition.

The function is underpinned by dedicated ticketing management software – Archtics, a Ticketmaster system.                                                                                                                                                                                

The ticket function is broadly split across 2 key workstreams - retail / matchday ticketing and Patrons schemes.

Ticket sales for IRFU fixtures follow an established sales funnel –branches \ clubs, visiting unions, sponsors, and public ticket sales (via Ticketmaster.ie)

Key Deliverables:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

  • Proven track record of building positive cross-functional relationships.            
  • Strong experience in providing outstanding insight and analysis, along with a robust background in business planning and forecasting processes.               
  • Ability to engage, influence, and work with senior partners effectively.                              
  • Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.                
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.                                                                 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Power BI or similar data visualisation / analytic skills would be a strong advantage.
  • Drive a culture of continuous process improvement to ensure ticketing operational / finance processes are best in class.           
  • Lead on leveraging automation / real time analysis as well as ensuring the Ticketing function is fully integrated with the new IRFU ERP (launching 2026)                                                                                                     

A successful 'Ticketing \ Finance Business Partner' should have:                                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Bachelor degrees in Business \ Administration
  • Worked in a similar Finance Business Partner role.      
  • Worked in ticketing environment at Manager level.                                      
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills                                                                  
  • Ability to work in a team and foster collaboration.                                                                        
  • Proven track record of driving business performance 

    Salary for this role is depending on experience.
