Job Overview
The Stage & Activation Manager, Motorsports position is responsible for executing all stage-related programming while supporting broader project needs across live events. This role ensures the smooth operation of the motorsports experience stage, manages production elements, coordinates with talent and vendors, and provides administrative and logistical support to event and project teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
Due to the nature of event delivery, this role requires the ability to travel 20+ weekends, including weekends, as required by the motorsports event schedule.
What You’ll Do
Stage Management (Primary Duties):
Oversee all aspects of the motorsports experience stage during event weekends, including run-of-show, delivery of show calls, talent coordination, and production flow.
Manage stage setup and breakdown, including audio/visual checks, signage, props, and equipment readiness.
Coordinate on-site with hosts, performers, guests, drivers, and motorsports representatives to ensure seamless transitions and timing.
Communicate and collaborate with production crews, audio/visual teams, and event operations staff.
Monitor and adjust timing, cues, and programming as needed to maintain show quality.
Ensure all safety protocols and event standards are followed during stage operations.
Project Support (Secondary Duties):
Assist project managers with planning, tracking, and execution of event-related projects and deliverables.
Support the development and distribution of event schedules, run-of-show documents, and production notes.
Manage logistical needs such as travel coordination, equipment orders, asset tracking, and vendor communication.
Contribute to budgeting support, invoice processing, and expense organization.
Participate in on-site project execution beyond stage operations as needed—including footprint setup, guest services, and operational troubleshooting.
Assist in post-event reporting, data collection, and debrief documentation.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in event production, stage management, live entertainment, or a related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with talent and high-profile guests.
Ability to read and interpret production documents (run-of-show, tech specs, schedules, etc.).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with project management software is a plus.
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and working in outdoor environments for extended periods.
