FanaticsCollect.com is reinventing the way fans engage with digital collectibles. As we launch our next-generation web platform, we’re seeking a talented Website Engineer to join our cross-functional team. You’ll help shape the face of our marketplace—building performant, scalable, and delightful user experiences with Next.js.
What You’ll Do
- Front-End & Server-Side Development
- Architect and implement core website features using Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR) and React.
- Build and maintain custom serverless APIs and middleware with Node.js.
- Performance & Optimization
- Optimize bundle sizes, code-splitting, and asset loading to hit top Web Vitals scores.
- Leverage Lighthouse audits, real-user metrics, and A/B experiments to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into reusable component libraries.
- Integrate front-end code with backend GraphQL/REST services, ensuring robust data flows.
- Partner with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines, deployments (Vercel, Netlify), and monitoring.
- Quality & Best Practices
- Establish coding standards, automated tests (Jest, Cypress), and linting/prettier rules.
- Perform code reviews, mentor peers, and evangelize front-end best practices across teams.
- Innovation & Learning
- Stay current on the latest in React ecosystem, Next.js features, and web performance techniques.
- Share knowledge via brown-bags, RFCs, or tech talks to drive collective growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Education
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required
- Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years building production web applications with javascript/typescript, react native,
- Deep understanding of SSR/SSG/ISR, dynamic routing, and data-fetching strategies in Next.js.
- Experience with React fundamentals: hooks, context, performance optimizations.
- API & Data Integration
- Solid experience consuming and/or building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Strapi) or e-commerce backends.
- DevOps & Deployment
- Hands-on with Vercel, Netlify, or similar platforms; skilled in setting up CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Comfortable writing Infrastructure-as-Code snippets for serverless functions (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers).
- Collaboration & Communication
- Strong written and verbal skills; able to draft clear technical specifications and documentation.
- Proven track record of working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside backend, design, and DevOps engineers.
The salary range for this position is $172,000 - $258,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
