Full Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Drive the development of procurement practices across categories, including:
Execute Tactical Buying process across all categories and support on the Definition and deployment of Sourcing Strategy for the Cluster (Lower thresholds)
Support on executing Tactical Buying process across all categories and support on the Definition and deployment of Sourcing Strategy for the Cluster (higher threshold) when required
Stakeholder management to maximize savings and Procurement's value contribution
Supporting in contract management activities and ensuring, when required, a proper supplier relationship management
Assure achieving of Procurement compliance targets including policies, strategies, and processes
Deliver committed annual Procurement savings and Global Business Services SLA and KPI's
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Tactical buying activities.
Support on the implementation of new policies at cluster level including systems and processes.
Maintain strong liaison with Global Business Services team.
Hands on driving of Continuous Improvement initiatives
Consolidate requirements and act as business partner for business/ other functions,
Benchmark Procurement best practices to drive Continuous Improvement
Support in building categories specific execution plans in alignment with relevant stakeholders
Align sourcing plan to financial budget and business strategies
Support on category strategy implementation, including execution of defined sourcing initiatives (as per the 7 steps strategic sourcing methodology) & realization of annual savings targets
Ensure clear understanding, implementation & role modelling of savings methodology & reporting
Develop internal and external analysis (industry and supplier)
Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance.
Deliver the required negotiation outcomes and savings according to the defined targets
Support efforts of a cross-functional Global Business Services and Sourcing teams' projects.
Collaborate and align with global/ market/ country procurement teams as applicable
Drive supplier selection and fact-based negotiations as per adidas negotiation methodology
Lead RfX execution: Select supplier and drive fact-based negotiations as per adidas sourcing and negotiation methodology
Work with Procurement and business Leads in global and in markets to activate contracts.
Manage relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives
Provide input on volume/ specification/ price to build smart consumption policies
Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global / market Procurement policies
Achieve “buy-in” from key stakeholders in the market for major procurement initiatives
Create and outline contribution for budget improvements
Foster that business needs are being identified, represented, and incorporated into category strategies
Act as Point of Contact for the business and for all Tactical Buying requests to assure business requirements are met
Key Relationships:
Internal: Global Business Services team, Global / Regional Procurement team, Business Unit (BUs), Key Business Stakeholder Functions (GBS, Marketing, IT, Global Workplaces, Retail etc), Key Business Partners (Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, etc)
External: Suppliers & Agencies: Executives, Key Account Managers & Legal Council
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, business partnering and category management (7 steps strategic sourcing, Fact based Negotiations, etc.)
Good knowledge of How to develop a Procurement Category strategy and conveyance
Strong knowledge of procurement tools, processes, content and automation (E-sourcing -Ariba-, P2P -SRM & Ariba-, e-catalogues, buying channels, etc.)
Strong ability to analyze data, specifications, and influence demand
Capability to independently interact throughout the adidas Group and to work with virtual teams
Knowledge and experience in projects and process management
Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
Proficiency in MS Office and preferably Ariba
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Fluent in French, spoken and written.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
A professional degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, engineering or legal, or comparable professional education
Minimum 2 to 4 years' professional experience in a similar functional domain or other related positions, with knowledge of category / market at hand; experience with supplier selection, negotiation and contracting
