Purpose of Role
Under Armour Digital is looking for extraordinary engineers who want to focus on technical challenges impacting the daily lives of the world's largest fitness community. As a senior software engineer on the Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with teammates across UA Digital. In this role you will help build the tools to manage our infrastructure platform which supports our e-commerce and applications, enabling our teams to empower athletes everywhere.

What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and support automated provisioning, continuous deployment, and telemetry systems that help our teammates work more effectively.
- Help make decisions around infrastructure technology choices that impact developer workflow, security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Contribute to the curation and prioritization of the team roadmap.
- Embrace cross-team collaboration, debate, and execution, working closely with teammates in Application Engineering, Service Reliability Engineering, Data Science, Program Management, E-Commerce Engineering, and business orgs to solve problems and make sure our infrastructure evolves with our products.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of major Cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure, with demonstrable experience in migrating, deploying, and managing large-scale systems on these platforms.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Ability to construct and manage virtualized infrastructure and enforce best practices for security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Proven experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and FluxCD.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Git for source control management and demonstrated experience integrating repository management tools such as Artifactory and ECR.
- Working knowledge of tools like HashiCorp Vault, Consul, and Nomad. Familiarity with securing, storing, and tightly controlling access to tokens, passwords, certificates, API keys, and other secrets in technology environments.
- Solid experience with Kafka, with an understanding of how to set up, manage, and monitor Kafka clusters.
- Proficient in containerization and orchestration with technologies like Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, EKS, GCR, ECR, and Kustomize.
- Demonstrable experience with managing and troubleshooting networks at scale, with a strong understanding of network protocols, subnetting, routing, and firewall rules.
- Expertise in database management across various systems including relational, NoSQL, and distributed databases.
- Proficient with Atlassian products, specifically JIRA for project management and tracking.
- 3+ years of container-based deployments and orchestration experience.
- 3+ years of cloud experience
- Requires 5+ years of IT/technology experience.
- 1.5+ years of experience using observability platforms and logging systems such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Ability to work in Agile and DevOps environments, with a clear understanding of agile principles and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and swiftly under pressure.
- Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) would be beneficial.

Base Compensation
$128,192.00 - $176,264.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
