The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Sr. Associate, Spectator Experience & Sport Presentation
The Spectator Experience (OFX) team oversees the end-to-end Spectator Journey through extensive cross functional collaboration and integration — creating audience profiles/segments, journey maps, risk & opportunity tracking, strategic solutions, and Games-time executional programs in support of an optimal Spectator Experience. As part of the holistic approach to Spectator Experience, this team is also responsible for the strategy and vision of the in-venue Sports Presentation program.
Reporting to the Director of Spectator Experience, the Sr. Associate will work within larger OFX team on the overall end-to-end Spectator Experience – including, but not limited to, journey mapping, risk & opportunity mapping, venue-specific and venue-agnostic service levels and planning, and Games-time executional planning.
They will be responsible for leading the development and articulation of the Sports Presentation strategy for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role will collaborate with the Sport team to create in-game programming that supports successful Games delivery, brings the mission and vision of LA28 to life, and enhances fan engagement.
The ideal candidate will understand the spectator end to end journey and have experience in delivering superlative in-game and in-venue experiences. Their work will help shape the overall spectator experience, creating lifelong memories for spectators from around the world.
Working out of our LA office, this candidate must have a collaborative mindset working in a complex, cross functional organization. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & articulate and thoughtful, budget-minded, and actionable Sports Presentation strategy and vision for LA28 including overall and sport/venue-specific programming
- Collaborate with the Sport team to integrate International Federations (IFs) and Professional Leagues (where applicable) into Sports Presentation vision
- Support in development of the delivery model for Sport presentation for all Olympic and Paralympic sports at LA28 competition venues
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in live event presentations, sports media, and fan engagement to continuously elevate the in-game experience
- Work with/ the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP) to identify opportunities for new experiences and technologies to enhance spectator interaction in order to sell & manage partner/sponsorship(s).
- Identify opportunities for U.S. National Governing Bodies and IFs to integrate a Sport Initiation activation programs into LA28 venues, Live Sites, Torch Relay, and other LA28 properties
- Establish close working relationships with key functional areas (especially Sport, Transportation, Security, Digital, Venue) to ensure the OFX's ability to maximize the spectator experience, minimizes costs, and works effectively within operational constraints
- Support the OFX team in event planning process and other venue-specific information gathering projects to identify Spectator needs, risks, and opportunities
- Draft end-to-end consumer journeys representing various Spectator Segments
- Create presentations to showcase OFX & Sport Presentation Visions to internal and external stakeholders
- Help define, implement and track service levels across spectator touchpoints.
- Maintain and report on the spectator risk Register to track potential issues.
- Support evolving team needs with flexibility and adaptability.
Background and Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in sports, entertainment, and/or agency coordinating sports presentation, fan experience, fan development, and or event planning and execution
- Experience working from and executing on a larger brand/organizational mission/vision/strategy
- Excellent PowerPoint deck-building and design skills (comfortable working from the blank slide being the original author of presentations, strategies, and operational plans)
- Project management and strong organizational skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment and in balancing multiple assignments with competing timelines
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience working within professional sports organization
- Experience working within a complex, cross-functional organization
- Knowledge of LA community, culture, and values
- Knowledge of a range of sports and sport traditions/cultures
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles 4-5 days a week

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
