Main goal

The Sports Centre Coordinator manages Colovray Sports Centre's activity schedules, which includes coordinating the occupancy of the facilities, processing booking requests, publishing schedules and weekly activity overviews, coordinating events, collaborating with local clubs and authorities, and performing financial and administrative tasks. The roles also involves a close collaboration with the Senior Sports Centre Expert.

Key responsibilities

- Handling around 8,000 bookings each year in response to requests to use the facilities from local clubs, UEFA and other users, then preparing and publishing weekly, monthly and annual timetables and calendars
- Coordinating and organising around 30 major events each year, including football and rugby competitions, running races and triathlons at various levels (local, national and international)
- Working closely with clubs based in Nyon and other local partners to respond to requests to host activities and ensure optimal use of the facilities
- Handling the daily administration of the sports centre, including preparing purchase orders, collecting and sorting bids and invoicing users

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in local sports clubs and in the organisation of local sports events in Switzerland
- 1 to 3 years in an administrative position, including direct contact with clients

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in sport, events or a related field (e.g. UNIL sports science or HES-SO Valais Tourisme)
- A sports management certificate would be an asset

Languages:
- French: Proficient
- English: Advanced

Other requirements:
- Service-minded and able to identify problems and come up with solutions
- Able to adapt to changes and to adapt working hours based on the needs of events
- Able to work autonomously
- Neutrality towards different sports
