The Role – Software Engineer (Fan Engagement)
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Fan Engagement team and contribute to the development and maintenance of softwarethat enhances how sports are experienced. In this role, you’ll work independently, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help improve the quality and maintainability of our systems. You’ll play an active role in delivering value to users while continuing to grow your technical and collaborative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and maintain features andcomponents with a focus on quality and reliability
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that aligns with team standards
- Participate in system and component design discussions, contributing ideas and asking thoughtful questions
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack, with guidance as needed
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-centered solutions
- Contribute to code reviews by giving and incorporating constructive feedback
- Identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and team development practices
- Support team goals by communicating clearly about progress, blockers, and trade-offs
Qualifications:
- Experiencedeveloping professionalweb apps and familiarity with modern development frameworks
- Understanding of software development fundamentals (e.g., data structures, APIs, testing, version control)
- Ability to work independently on defined tasks while seeking input when needed
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teammates and incorporating feedback
- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and iterate
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ReactJS and NodeJS
- Experience with Kotlin, or Spring a bonus
- Experience contributing to the design of systems or features
- Familiarity with debugging and performance optimization techniques
- Experience writing automated tests and working with CI/CD pipelines
