Job Description
The Senior Sponsorships Executive will work closely with the Sponsorship Manager and Head of Sponsorship to support the delivery and growth of our key sponsorship accounts across Football, Horse Racing, and beyond. In this role, you’ll bring to life both new and existing partnerships to drive customer engagement and revenue-generating activity, while leading the way in delivering innovative sponsorship activations.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams — including but not limited to Brand, CRM, PR, Propositions, Social, and Retail — as well as external stakeholders such as rights holders, influencers, and agencies. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving short-term ROI and driving long-term brand awareness and consideration.
Role Purpose
- Manage the execution of new and existing partnerships for Ladbrokes and Coral across a multitude of sports, including Football and Horse Racing, working cross-functionally with a range of teams to ensure sponsorship elements are integrated into all business operations.
- Work with Sponsorship Manager, Head of Sponsorship, wider Sponsorships team, and Brand teams to align Sponsorships execution with Brand Strategies.
- Provide support and thought expertise for Brand related teams in the creation of best-in-class Sponsorship activation.
- Work closely with Rights Holders to effectively plan and implement the end-to-end delivery of all agreed sponsorship rights and obligations, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Serve as the reliable point of contact for brand and commercial focused teams, maintaining exceptional communication and fostering trust and satisfaction in meeting their requirements and expectations
- Track and report on sponsorship performance through in-depth post-campaign analysis to ensure we’re always optimising our approach and looking ahead to ensure we’re able to improve year on year.
- Confidently present to internal and external stakeholders, effectively engaging with teams to communicate key details and requirements necessary for the successful implementation of plans.
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in Brand Sponsorship related roles within top tier consumer businesses that have a strong Brand Sponsorship focus and reputation.
- Experience in planning and executing sponsorship rights, measuring effectiveness and ROI and creating disruptive brand activations.
- Track record in building effective Sponsorship partnerships that drive brand equity and sales growth, particularly the creation of emotional brand-building content and experiences that leverage Sponsorships assets way beyond simply logo placement and event badging.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with rights holders, senior stakeholders, Brand and commercial facing teams and agencies in order to influence and gain buy in on plans, to get to the best possible solutions for the business.
- Ability to think long term and broadly about Sponsorship and its role in the marketing mix.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels both inside and outside the organisation inspiring others through personal style and delivery.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple partnerships simultaneously, ensuring all projects are effectively prioritised and progress is maintained throughout
- Skilled in developing compelling presentation decks that clearly guide audiences (internally and externally) through a structured narrative to drive understanding and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Quick in effectively solving problems while consistently adhering to company standards and industry regulations
- A passionate sports enthusiast with a strong understanding of the commercial and business dynamics within the sports industry
- Ability to travel during the week and across weekends
