Full Description

The Senior Specialist Special DC Handling EU acts as point of contact representing all European DCs (adidas & 3PL) for adidas wholesale clusters & Retail business with focus on customer requirements (SHAD/SHAS and Booking In).
Key responsibility is the definition, documentation, coordination and implementation of SHAD & Bi related business requirements and related processes (including SAP Condition record setup and maintenance). Within this role the analysis of requests and requirements, standardization and decision support about requirement implementation is key. Next to this communication and implementation of new / changed customer requirements including process definition belong to the portfolio. Monitoring, reporting and training of existing SHAD/SHAS-processes rounding off the responsibility.

The management and resolution of SHAD claims and issues are also relevant.

In addition, Senior Specialist DC Special Handling EU acts also as one point of contact for the internal and external partner for SHAD/SHAS related special topics and processes next to daily operational business. The position focus on supporting Re-Work/De-SHAS activities for adidas dedicated business, this also includes the implementation of necessary measures and processes to support M2M transfer and repricing requests. Within this role Senior Specialist supports the implementation of such special processes and coordinates and tracks daily processing and progress – aligned with operational business and in close collaboration with internal or external stakeholders.

Participation in Projects and customer visits / workshops are also part of the job. The position also supports/leads position-relevant streams and sub-projects. Within this role he/she supports to identify potentials and drives innovation.

Overall target is the fulfillment of customer needs, improvement of customer satisfaction in accordance to budget, system and both local DC and 3PL framework restrictions. Serving customers within SLAs and KPIs is key target.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of new SHAD & BI requirements based on customer requests – develop solutions across different functions in the organization, coordination and communication of solutions and timelines with all adidas internal and potentially affected external partner. Setup and maintenance of SAP Condition records for automated DCs.
  • Work closely with WHS markets and Retail, European Order Fulfillment, IT teams, SCM Operation to secure a customer focussed consistent and effective execution approach. Drive OneFaceToCustomer.
  • Implementation and prioritization of special processes – drive solutions across different functions (internal and external) in the organization. Coordinate, align and communicate solutions, costs and timelines with all adidas internal and external stakeholder. Prioritize and coordinate special processes based on requested volumes, capacities and timelines in cooperation and aligned with all stakeholder.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure transfer of planned special processes into operational business; manage market 2 market transfers regarding Special handling (De-SHAS; Rework; Repricing) and plan activities.
    • communication flow with internal and external partner and edit and document relevant process information
    • Check and confirm e2e IT processes – considering different internal and external interfaces and systems and track daily processes and progress in all systems
    • Plan and organize e2e procurement process – to ensure on time availability of relevant equipment to support in time daily operational business
    • Secure aligned capacities across the network; manage transparency for planning. coordinate and track daily operational progress aligned and in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain “Master Files” and track progress.
    • Claim and issue management – communicate issues, check and identify potential reason and drive actively problem resolution. Review and optimize continuously existing processes.
  • Support OPS to ensure efficient daily operational business – especially to organize ordering and supply of equipment and label to all affected DC
  • Support assigned projects securing progress and benefits to the adidas-Group, Wholesale and Retail business, on time and in budget.
  • Provide input to decision making process to maximize DC targets (especially SLA & KPI compliance) & sales while focussing on overall cost for the Supply Chain and DC Operations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Good developed planning and organization skills

  • Strong logistical and economically skills
  • High degree of customer orientation in combination with logistical & cost focus
  • Ability to think end-to-end and operate cross-functional, good understanding of external business drivers
  • Proven track record in project and change management
  • Team player and role-model for collaboration
  • High level of adidas internal system knowledge (SAP AFS, WMS and MS Office)
  • Ability to understand and adapt external IT processes and systems
  • Fluent in German and English both verbal and written

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • university degree, min. bachelor
  • min. 3 years working experience in supply chain management preferred Sporting Goods/Textile/FMCG industries
