Description
Streaming live events brings unique challenges, as millions of fans join our broadcasts in a short space of time. We are looking for a backend engineer who is passionate about building a modern, scalable and resilient platform and pushes the boundaries on playback excellence. We give you the autonomy over the software you build and freedom to choose the right tool for the job. In return, we expect you to take ownership of the system.
Key Responsibilities
YOUR TEAM
The services owned by this team monitor fair usage of DAZN resources, enforcing rights restrictions set by our partners and protect users accounts from sharing or takeover.
As our new Senior Software Architect (Experience 10+ years), you will have the opportunity to:
Design, build and maintain scalable microservices.
Collaborate with Architects and other Software Engineers to deliver a compelling user experience.
Deliver maintainable, robust and testable code.
Share knowledge and collaborate with other developers across the business.
Evolve and design the services that power and monitor our video streaming.
Partner with the other Software Engineering teams to create end to end solutions.
Mentor software engineers in design patterns and coding to standards.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You'll be set up for success if you have:
Candidate with 10+ years of experience in design/architecture of complex backend system preferably using Node.js and AWS.
With given complex (& vague) requirements, Candidate should be able to produce the architecture/design.
Candidate should be able to proactively collaborate with stake holders to clarify the requirements if needed, review design etc.
Explain the design/architecture to team members and guide/mentor them during implementation.
Candidate is expected to code and contribute to feature implementation.
He should be able to do the POC to demonstrate the proposed design/architecture.
