Senior Retoucher - Fanatics Collectibles

Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology. Backed by some of the best investors, sports properties, and operators in the world, we’re integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform (inclusive of 900 sports relationships and more than 80 million fans) to reimagine the collectibles business.

Role Summary:

The mandate of the Pre-Press team is to translate card designs to beautiful, error-free, and quality-checked forms that are ready for press. Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Senior Retoucher to support imaging, color correction and retouching of card images / designs in line with our Pre-Press team’s commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is design-savvy and organized, exhibits strong attention to detail, and brings deep experience in imaging and retouching operations. Candidates with a passion for sports and entertainment will likely find themselves a strong cultural fit. 

This is a full time role, in the designated office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Key assets for a varied portfolio of licenses
• Ensure all images meet color accuracy and consistency requirements
• Maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all visual materials (e.g., images, graphics) align with the highest standards of the business and meet the specific requirements of each project
• Work cross-functionally with photographers, designers, and other stakeholders to achieve desired retouching results for various projects
• Collaborate with international and external contributors
• Identify and resolve issues related to image quality, resolution, and/or color accuracy
• Foster a collaborative, efficient, and communication-first work environment 
• Stay informed on industry best practices, technologies, and software 
• Continuously seek ways to improve retouching processes and optimize workflow. 

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience (5-10 years) in imaging and retouching operations 
• Bachelors degree or equivalent in related field.
• Proficiency in imaging and retouching software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Lightroom, or other specialized color correction/retouching tools
• Strong knowledge of color theory and color management
• Strong team player with ownership mindset.
• Experience working with large volumes of image assets in a fast-moving environment 
• Strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail 
• In-depth knowledge of professional sports, historical and current, particularly Bundesliga, Premier League, UEFA domestic and international competitions.
• 3D skills are a plus
