WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will report to the Sr. Director, Talent Management and work closely with Business and HR Leadership Teams. You’ll collaborate with Talent Management Business Leads, Business HR (BHR) Partners, Executive Search / Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Talent & OD Practice.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Sr. Principal, Talent Management brings strong executive presence and the maturity to navigate relationships with the Talent Management Leadership team and Senior Business HR. This individual excels at fostering trust and alignment within top-tier leadership. Your business and financial acumen enable leadership to deliver talent plans tailored to meet business objectives, including experience in strategic workforce planning and execution.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience across various disciplines within Human Resources (Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partner).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Sophisticated BHR Partners experience in Talent Strategy, Talent Planning, Executive Succession, Governance, and Executive Development.
  • Executive presence and ability to navigate relationships with General Managers, Executive Leadership, and HR Leadership.
  • Experience with competency-based models and leadership potential assessment tools (e.g., 360 assessments, Hogan).
  • Strong ability to be self-directed, process-oriented, and hands-on, with the capability to manage multiple priorities. Project management skills are required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with BHR Partners, Org Design, People Solutions, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, DE&I, and other HR Centers of Excellence to drive an integrated talent agenda and deliver a consistent talent experience.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The Sr. Principal, Talent Management will mainly focus on Operate, Enable, and Growth functions. This role manages the implementation of Talent Management and Executive Development activities for Nike’s Enterprise Talent Pipelines. Your daily work will involve identifying critical capabilities, creating and maintaining role profiles, conducting talent assessments, succession planning, and leadership development, while supporting executive talent meetings and optimizing Nike's talent practices. This role operates within an agile team, allowing for flexibility in line with Nike’s talent cadence cycle.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a talent authority and expert, guiding the global pipeline by advising BHR Partners and business leaders on Nike’s talent development strategies, methodologies, and processes.
  • Help build, establish, manage, and grow the leadership pipeline, ensuring a strong and ready-now functional talent pool.
  • Build and implement functional pipelines to ensure a steady stream of ready-now talent by leveraging enterprise programs and tools.
