General Purpose:

As a Senior Manager Tech SEO in Global SEO at adidas, you will lead the execution of the Global SEO strategy, driving initiatives to grow organic traffic by leveraging search insights, testing frameworks and advanced technical solutions. This role demands a blend of strategic vision and hands-on management, with the ability to turn high-level goals into impactful results. As a key member of the Global SEO leadership team, you will mentor and empower team members, build strong cross-functional partnerships and promote best-in-class tech SEO practices across global markets.

Technical SEO Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead the identification and resolution of technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors, rendering challenges and indexability problems.
  • Act as the main point of contact with product teams to implement technical SEO recommendations, ensuring a smooth integration with existing technical systems and processes.
  • Establish and promote robust SEO Quality Assurance processes for all development cycles, including pre-launch and post-launch checks during platform updates and new feature rollouts.
  • Drive the adoption of Global tech SEO best practices, providing training, documentation and support to ensure scalability across markets.

Optimization & Testing

  • Oversee key technical optimization initiatives, including site speed enhancements (e.g., Core Web Vitals metrics like LCP, INP and CLS).
  • Scale the existing SEO testing framework, supporting regional SEO teams to conduct split tests that validate technical and strategic changes.
  • Evaluate and optimize page rendering strategies, ensuring server-side rendering (SSR) and hybrid solutions are search engine-friendly.
  • Collaborate on strategies for dynamic rendering and cache management to enhance crawlability and indexability, aligning user experience with search engine requirements.

Migrations & Insights

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution for major site changes, including platform migrations, ensuring minimal impact on organic visibility.
  • Conduct post-migration audits to address potential technical issues and monitor traffic.
  • Proactively identify tech SEO improvement opportunities and reporting key findings to senior leadership in a clear manner.

Requirements, Education & Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong background in implementing strategies within an eCommerce environment.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional organization, developing influential and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Very good project management skills, with a proven ability to lead projects from conception to execution and deliver measurable results.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written.



Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of guiding teams toward shared goals and fostering collaboration.
  • Creative and energetic team player, driven by a passion for driving traffic growth and achieving impactful results.



Hard Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Extensive experience with SEO tools, including keyword tracking, keyword research, domain analysis, crawl and log analysis.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to execute effectively in dynamic environments.
