Description
Reporting organizationally to the Director, Protective Security Operations, the Senior Manager, Protective Security Operations - Transportation, will be a key member of the FIFA26 Safety and Security team. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the key stakeholders and other individuals responsible for delivering integrated transportation security operations with various departments, government agencies, and private security details to ensure the safe and secure transportation operations of all events and client groups. This role will focus on the secure transport of teams, referees, FIFA executives, high-profile individuals, and other distinguished guests. This role will lead the safety and security transportation planning across the 12 FIFA Club World Cup 2025 (FCWC25) and 16 FIFA World Cup 2026 (FWC26) host cities including Canada, Mexico, and the U.S, and will be responsible for the successful and safe delivery of these transportation security protocols for all matches across both tournaments.

This critical role will manage the planning, coordination, and implementation of all comprehensive safety and security transportation functions at competition and non-competition venues within host cities as well as integration of non-host cities within the FIFA event footprint. Working closely with FIFA counterparts from the Safety & Security Department tournament wide, the Senior Manager, Protective Security Operations - Transportation will have oversight of the transportation functions across the affiliates in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

This Senior Manager will integrate protective security protocols with safety and security screening protocols, oversee escort operations, vehicle screening processes, and contribute to the development of best practices and procedures for incident management, including overseeing the multi-route approach for all stakeholders within responsibility profile.

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Manager, Protective Security Operations - Transportation, for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

• Serve as an additional liaison with the host city State and Local Law Enforcement (LE) agencies and other federal entities, for transportation routes of Heads of States, foreign ministers, and other publicly protected dignitaries.
• Coordinate with state and local law enforcement and other designated agencies, as appropriate, for visiting heads of state/government and dignitaries attending other FIFA related VIP events or frequenting FIFA non-competition venues.
• Work with multiple jurisdictions on escort responsibilities for teams, referees and potential VIPs for matches, hotels, team base camps and other frequented team locations.
• Work on contract with LE for escorts over multiple jurisdictions conforming with FIFA standards on procurement.
• Coordinate with hired private security details for the FIFA President and Secretary General, celebrities, high-level executives, council members, and other distinguished guests for law enforcement escort requirements.
• Work with state, local, and federal security agencies (DHS, FBI, USMS, USSS, FAA) on security planning specifically related to transportation routes and security assets for low and high-risk scenarios.
• Utilize the implemented logistics plan and communications platforms to assist in briefing accordingly with affected groups.
• Brief large groups and assist in training of transportation security on the FIFA team security construct, best practices, and responsible stewardship of resources.
• Oversee and manage multiple transportation avenues such as air, bus, and vehicles.
• Oversee Airspace security operations planning and coordinate with Safety and Security.
• Liaise with Mexican and Canadian counterparts for heads of state/government attending matches in those countries.
• Coordinate Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (VACIS) or Remote Search Park (RSP) operations where off-site vehicle screening operations are required.

YOUR PROFILE
• Bachelor's degree or similar education / experience in safety, security, policy development, and event management.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing safety and security for large, complex major events with a focus stadium safety and security operations. FIFA Tournaments and private security management experience to be considered a plus.
• Experience with multiple processes for police escorts procedures and considerations.
• Knowledge of sport event or major event safety and security planning accompanied by best practices.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep understanding of risk management, crisis response, and emergency preparedness.
• Proven track-record in building and/or managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders for a high-profile organization.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Experience in the Sports industry is an advantage.
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
