We are currently recruiting a Senior Manager - Commercial Performance for BINGE, where you will play a key role in navigating Australia’s dynamic and highly competitive streaming market. 

In a pivotal role within our Marketing & Revenue team, you will be responsible for transforming overarching business strategies into financially robust, actionable commercial plans. By partnering closely with our Media Planning, CRM, and Product teams, you will establish critical performance targets, define our trading strategies, and lead comprehensive bottom-up forecasting to ensure we consistently meet our financial and commercial objectives. 

Ultimately, your mission is to drive cross-functional alignment and accountability, ensuring all performance channels deliver sustainable growth in subscriber acquisition, churn mitigation, and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Ownership: Hold full accountability for BINGE’s budget performance, driving sustainable results across subscriber volume, total revenue, and ARPU. 
  • Trading Strategy: Steer the weekly and quarterly trading rhythms, shaping the promotional calendar, tiering strategies, and agile mitigation plans to address any performance risks. 
  • Advanced Forecasting: Lead bottom-up revenue and subscriber forecasting by developing dynamic, cohort-driven models based on actual customer behaviour and survival curves. 
  • Financial Governance: Oversee reforecasting cycles and long-range planning, quantifying the commercial effects of content premieres, pricing adjustments, and tactical versus structural market drivers. 
  • Target Alignment:Establish precise acquisition and retention goals alongside Media, CRM, and eCommerce teams, anchoring all metrics to rigorous Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) thresholds and Lifetime Value (LTV) economics. 
  • Investment Optimisation: Guarantee that marketing spend and offer strategies track with forecasts, leveraging data-led governance to challenge inefficiencies and implement robust incrementality testing. 
  • Churn & Survival Analysis: Champion cohort tenure modelling to pinpoint underlying churn drivers, ensuring promotional activities focus on long-term subscriber value rather than artificial, short-term volume spikes. 
  • ARPU & Tier Management: Model and optimise the financial impact of tier mixes and ARPU, establishing clear commercial boundaries and performance guardrails for the platform. 
  • Executive Reporting: Distil complex financial metrics into clear, rate-based commercial narratives, illuminating forward-looking risks and strategic de-risking levers for the Executive leadership team. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central commercial liaison, fostering strategic alignment, accountability, and transparency across the Finance, Content, Product, and Media Planning teams.

About your experience

  • 8+ years in commercial, strategy, analytics, or consulting, ideally within media, streaming, or digital subscriptions. 
  • Advanced Excel financial modelling and subscription forecasting, understanding of churn modelling, tenure dynamics, and survival curves is highly desirable. 
  • Strategic problem-solver who can balance short-term subscriber growth with long-term platform profitability. 
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments operating on strict weekly trading cycles. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to influence senior leaders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams. 
  • Executive-level, data-driven presentation skills to deliver actionable solutions and build credibility with Finance and Executive teams. 
  • A genuine passion for Entertainment and Sport, recognising that a deep understanding of our content, product, and customers is foundational to your success.
