The Role

As Country Manager – Canada, you will be responsible for leading DAZN BET’s market entry and growth strategy. You will own the country P&L, customer acquisition approach, marketing strategy, and commercial performance, ensuring the Canadian proposition is competitive, compliant, and aligned with the DAZN brand.

You will partner closely with central teams across Product, Sportsbook, Gaming, Analytics, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure DAZN BET is fully prepared for launch and set up for long-term success. Reporting directly to the EVP Growth Markets, you will act as the senior figurehead for the Canadian market.

This role can be based in US Remotely. The internal job title is Country Manager - Canada.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the Canada market strategy and full P&L, delivering revenue, EBITDA, and customer growth targets across sportsbook and gaming.
  • Lead all marketing activity  acquisition, CRM/retention, brand, and social  ensuring campaigns are compliant, localised, and ROI-positive.
  • Drive all market entry and launch planning, ensuring operational readiness across product, compliance, customer service, and commercial functions.
  • Localise the DAZN BET proposition for Canadian customers, optimising features, promotions, market positioning, and sports relevance.
  • Develop and manage key commercial partnerships (affiliates, media, sports organisations, and local partners) that support launch and growth.
  • Translate BI insights into strategy by shaping monthly and quarterly commercial plans, player value optimisation, and marketing decisions based on Canadian customer behaviour.
  • Ensure full compliance with Canadian gaming regulations, partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Safer Gambling to maintain responsible operations.
  • Represent the Canada market internally, building strong relationships across central functions and providing clear communication to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in a regulated betting & gaming market, ideally with Canadian or North American exposure.
  • Proven experience launching or scaling a digital betting or gaming business, including market entry, localisation, and commercial strategy.
  • Strong commercial and P&L ownership background with the ability to deliver acquisition, CRM/retention, and brand-level marketing programmes.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and responsible gambling expectations for the Canadian market.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence central teams across marketing, product, sportsbook, and operations.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and performance optimisation.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a build-from-scratch environment.
