Full Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This position is responsible to prepare corporate financial statement in a timely and accurate manner across Retail business channel. Act as a trustworthy business partner to provide proper guidance in accounting matter and support troubleshooting. Always be keen on updates of new accounting principles (IFRS & Local GAAP) and GFM(Global Finance Manual). Drive continuous changes for process improvement and accelerate process automation/digitalization. Closely monitor potential tax risks in cooperation with global tax team. Work with global treasury team to ensure optimal liquidity and financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for accounting treatment and process in DTC(Retail) channel in accordance with Global Finance Manual.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders in adidas to provide proper Finance advices in order to smoothly implement new business model.
  • Ensure smooth month-end closing under IFRS & group reporting procedures to provide accurate numbers in financial statement and group consolidation report.
  • Supervise all operations handled by GBS and bring successful cooperation.
  • Lead YE tax adjustment for CIT filing, in proactive cooperation with Deloitte
  • Ensure required tax reporting in a timely manner to the tax authorities and Group Tax team.
  • Take the lead of tax audit and coordinate with Tax Authorities, Global Tax, and Market senior leadership, in the matter of local tax, transfer pricing, etc.
  • Establish proper process in place for preparation, filing and archiving of all tax related documents, and actively implement new preventive solution for tax security.
  • Bring leadership to the team for impactful talent management and empowerment.
  • Make decision regarding treasury topics in alignment with Global Treasury
  • Drive continuous changes for process improvement and accelerate automation/digitalization.
  • Design proper process for new types of transactions and act as a proactive advisor for corporate projects which require finance knowledge.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Finance, especially IFRS and local GAAP
  • Ability to understand end-to-end process, and accelerate initiatives for improvement
  • Strong process understanding of accounting and tax relevant processes
  • Strong communication skills to various stakeholders within adidas
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Leadership and managerial skills
  • Familiarity with SAP, MS Office, and other equivalent tools used in adidas
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
  • Flexible mindset to handle new types of transactions

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in the respective area
  • Leadership experience
