In short
This role entails end-to-end obsession of the Outdoor footwear product line, inclusive of trail running, hiking, and city-right outdoor inspired product. From briefing, to market insights, to color stories, to sales pitches this role covers it all. The role entails strategic collaboration across apparel and other key verticals that are critical to the success of the product line.
The Senior Lead will report to the Director of Product Outdoor on the Global Product Strategy team.
Your Mission
- Create world class product briefs that balance consumer/athlete target, key business metrics, storytelling & inspiration, and competitor landscape that feed the greater Outdoor strategy.
- Develop refined 365 color, graphic and material briefs aligned to seasonal business goals.
- Own the seasonal product roadmap and end-to-end execution of inline product releases from concept to market.
- Obsess the active outdoor marketplace including but not limited to footwear with a keen eye for macro shifts, regional/geographical insight, industry-defining innovation and mass market trends.
- Lead, align, and collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Innovation, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless, on-time execution of the inline collection.
- Lead key stakeholder relationships across regions to share insights, organize team travel & inspiration trips, and obsess storytelling through the lens of the consumer
- Analyze global product performance and commercial metrics, translating sell-through data and consumer feedback into actionable insights for continuous improvement and future category planning.
Your story
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for a major brand's product line; footwear and/outdoor product experience is a plus (e.g. trail running, hiking, and city-inspired product).
- 3+ years of experience developing and integrating creative consumer insights and storytelling into a rigorous 3-5 year long-range strategic product plan (LRP).
- Superior presentation and communication skills, specifically in presenting complex product strategies to executive leadership (C-level), global regional teams, and external business accounts.
- Possess an industry-recognized, detail-oriented "product eye" with experience identifying and implementing micro-innovations to elevate consumer experience, value, and product performance.
- Strong ability to work with excellence and rigor under a fast-paced, ever-changing product environment while prioritizing and upholding the greater Outdoor Footwear strategy.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
