THE CHALLENGE

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will join our Security Engineering squad, dedicated to enhancing IT Security and Information Security processes. Your role involves providing specialized services, supporting both security-focused teams and other business units, and ensuring the seamless operation of security solutions such as SIEM, NIDS, SOAR, WAF, AWS, and more. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and take responsibility for security toolsets. 
  • Design and implement technical solutions based on business needs. 
  • Perform regular maintenance and continuous improvements. 
  • Ensure service availability through monitoring and resource management. 
  • Maintain compliance with audit standards (ISO, SOX, etc.). 
  • Conduct Proof of Concept/Value for new technologies and vendors. 
  • Support product and vendor decisions, planning, and documentation. 
  • Maintain and develop internal documentation. 
  • Provide expert advice on security best practices. 

YOUR PROFILE

  • 8+ years of experience working in a security operations environment, preferably in a security engineering role. 
  • Strong familiarity with AWS security solutions. 
  • Understanding of fundamental security concepts and terminologies (CIA, basic cryptography knowledge etc.) 
  • Familiarity with SIEM or Data Lake tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack, OpenSearch) 
  • Experience with designing/deploying/configuring security tooling  
  • Good knowledge of identified operating system platforms; routers, network protocols, and security architecture. 
  • Advanced networking, analysis and security skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, to carry responsibility and to self-learn. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Fluency in English. 

Desired Experience and qualifications: 

  • Experience in a Security Operations Centre or as a Security Engineer. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python. 
  • Applied experience with M365 security tools (MDATP, MS Defender for Identity, etc.). 
  • Proven track record in technical delivery within a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with automation concepts. 
  • Advanced coursework in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC, CEH, LPT, etc.
