Job Title: Global Insurance Advisor – Corporate Sourcing and Services

Reports to:

Location: Dublin, Leeds or London

Role purpose:

The Procurement function in Flutter is responsible for the governance of external third party spend of over £6bn per annum across the various business units. Business Owners are supported in the management of this spend by the Sourcing team based in each of the four business units and by the Group Corporate Services and Sourcing team which run the sourcing activities for all the Corporate Services functions to deliver outstanding value for the Business. Insurance management for the Flutter Group sits with the Corporate Sourcing and Services Team.

The Insurance Advisor role has arisen as part of Corporate Services team and to work with and support the Lead Insurance Manager handling all Insurance lines for the Group. The candidate will provide support to the Group Insurance Manager in the annual placement of all insurance lines across all areas of the Global Business, which includes D&O insurance, Cyber Insurance, all Business and other Financial lines, US specific insurance lines, plus other Ad Hoc insurance lines. The successful candidate will also support the Group Insurance Manager in operational management of Group Insurance and helping to advise partners on Insurance Requirements and conditions. They will work with both the Director of Corporate Sourcing and Services and the Lead Insurance Manager to working with the appointed Group Insurance brokers to deliver a best-in-class insurance model for Flutter.

Primary responsibilities of this role:

  • Supporting the Lead Insurance Manager to handle the entire Insurance portfolio for the Flutter Group
  • Working closely with the appointed Group Insurance Brokers and supporting the Lead Insurance Manager to ensure outstanding Insurance model for the Group.
  • Advising the business as the need arises on insurance matters.
  • Working with business partners to gather information required for insurance placements.
  • Communicating with business team members on insurance requirements.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting in business reviews with Flutters appointed Brokers to review performance, future opportunities, and/or challenges.
  • Assisting in the management of the self-insured claims model for the Retail section of Flutter.
  • Assisting in the management of all operational insurance requirements across the Group.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant Insurance experience in multinational placements
  • CIP Qualification, ideally working towards MDI/ACII
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • The ability to handle multiple collaborators in a large organisation.
  • Experience with Self-Insured claims
  • Experience in explaining insurance related issues to team members.
  • Focused and takes the time to understand the needs of the business.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to support on multiple simultaneous projects optimally.
