Our Commercial Finance team goes beyond traditional reporting to act as strategic partners embedded at the heart of the business, with a direct ‘seat at the table’ for all critical business decisions.
To support our ongoing growth, we are expanding our team and seeking a proactive Senior Finance Analyst for a newly created, highly impactful position. This role is essential for driving deeper financial visibility and actively controlling overhead spend.
As our Senior Finance Analyst, you will be supporting the operational cost base across our main commercial division. This division is the driving force responsible for marketing and servicing our diverse subscriber base across Foxtel, Kayo Sports, and BINGE. Your financial oversight will directly support the teams that connect our audiences with our premium sports and entertainment platforms.
As a critical partner to the business, you will drive month-end actuals analysis, manage staff forecasting, and taking ownership of process improvements to streamline reporting across the Foxtel Group.

Key Responsibilities
- Month-end actuals for designated business units, provide detailed variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Support our Commercial Finance leadership team to design, build, and implement a robust new staff forecasting
- Act as the dedicated commercial partner for key overhead departments, including Research, Contact Centre, and Marketing.
- Manage end-to-end spend control for these areas, including the review and approval of Purchase Orders (POs).
- Drive the preparation and system loading of forecasts for overhead cost areas.
- Supporting the team providing financial modelling and support for more complex cost portfolios, such as Supply Chain and Commercial Premises.
- Champion our transition to new reporting tools by streamlining forecast and reporting setups. Take ownership of rebuilding and simplifying forecast models to deliver clear, concise, and highly effective stakeholder analysis and reporting
About your experience
- 3 years + CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in a Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Management Accounting role.
- A strong foundation in month-end close processes, actuals analysis, and budgeting. Experience managing headcount/staff tracking and operational overheads is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in enterprise financial planning systems, (Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service) or similar platforms.
- A proven track record of rebuilding, automating, or simplifying financial reporting packs highly desirable
- Experience managing procurement finance workflows, specifically handling Purchase Order approvals and spend control within a large enterprise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the business
- A self-starter with a process-improvement mindset, capable of building new tracking processes from the ground up and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced media environment.
