WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Senior Director of Technical Product Management is a strategic leader who oversees the full spectrum of platform and technical products that power enterprise-scale systems. This role sets vision and strategy, influences technology direction, and drives enterprise impact through team leadership, innovation, and cross-functional alignment.

  • Lead and scale a team of Technical Product Managers responsible for building Nike’s next-generation data services platform. 
  • Drive the design and development of API-first, Tier-1, business-critical data services that are secure, scalable, and resilient. 
  • Partner with business facing products, engineering, and platform teams to define and execute the technical roadmap for Nike’s Lakehouse and Data Mesh strategy. 
  • Champion best practices in data governance, data pipelines, and platform observability. 
  • Foster a culture of Technical Product excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align Product led initiatives with Nike’s broader business and technology goals. 
  • Manage executive stakeholder relationships and drive alignment on complex, cross-functional initiatives
  •  Ensure product investments support scalability, resilience, and long-term business agility
  • Create and govern frameworks for product lifecycle management, OKRs, and KPIs

Skillset Required 

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 12+ years of progressive product management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
  • 7+ Years strong foundation in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and data platforms. 
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI. 
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL, Apache Spark and Apache Airflow. 
  • Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture, Data Mesh principles, data governance frameworks, and modern data pipelines. 
  • Proven ability to deliver high-impact, API-first services at scale. 
  • Proven leadership in managing extra-large, complex product portfolios with cross-functional influence.
  • Experience driving major transformation programs (e.g., modernization, platform unification, data strategy)
  • Proven capability in building, mentoring, and retaining high- Demonstrated success influencing C-level stakeholders and performing product teams at scale
