As On’s Senior Director of Marketing, North America, you’ll shape the regional marketing vision and bring it to life across brand, digital, retail, and wholesale channels. This role reports to the General Manager, Americas, and sits on the Americas Leadership Team, translating global strategy into locally resonant stories that fuel community, drive growth, and elevate On’s premium presence across the region. This position is critical to ensuring On shows up with consistency, ambition, and impact across the Americas region. You will lead a high-performing team, inspiring them to achieve ambitious goals while fostering an inclusive and empowering environment.
Your Mission
- Co-create a comprehensive regional marketing strategy based on global initiatives and lead execution to drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and commercial growth across the Americas.
- Oversee and evolve a high-impact marketing organization, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous development within your teams.
- Cultivate a team environment that promotes psychological safety, encourages bold experimentation, and guides team members with empathy, structure, and purpose.
- Strengthen market insight capabilities to translate consumer and partner feedback into actionable growth opportunities, ensuring On's brand messaging resonates deeply with regional audience.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with global product, sales, digital, and retail teams to ensure integrated campaign rollouts and consistent brand execution across every touchpoint.
- Own regional revenue planning, forecasting, and the overall P&L management for marketing initiatives across the Americas, balancing near-term growth targets with long-term sustainable practices.
- Act as a key stakeholder to the Americas and Global Marketing Leadership Team, providing strategic input and ensuring regional marketing initiatives are aligned with On's broader commercial goals and vision.
- Partner directly with the GM of the Americas to elevate commercial capabilities while representing North America as a trusted thought leader in the global marketing organization, translating global brand vision into seamless regional execution.
Your story
- You have 15+ years of experience shaping marketing strategy at a global premium brand, ideally within the footwear or apparel industries, with a focus on omni-channel expansion.
- You have 7+ years of experience leading functions with teams of teams, demonstrating the ability to oversee directors and navigate complex enterprise scope.
- You have a proven ability to anticipate upcoming trends and potential impacts, envisioning innovative strategies that connect ideas with tangible outcomes.
- You have demonstrated experience crafting an inspiring vision and strategy, communicating it in a relatable way that ignites support across various functions and organizational layers.
- You are skilled at simplifying complex situations and prioritizing critical work for a large function or region, connecting and fostering synergies across different departments.
- You are a strong advocate for Talent and Culture initiatives, consistently cultivating an environment that motivates team members to exceed expectations and contribute to On's priorities.
- Location: This role is ideally based in Portland, OR, but we are open to New York, NY for the ideal candidate.
- Travel: Ability to travel is required. If based in NYC, a minimum of one week in Portland and one week in Zurich per quarter is expected to foster collaboration with key hubs.

The Experience Day
Your first taste of the Oniverse. This is a time to meet some of the people you'll be working closest with. In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.
