Your mission
Demonstrate excellence in creation and execution of innovative designs following the brand, category, and product strategies
Take ownership of the whole design process, from ideation until final production approval
Contribute to the formulation of the seasonal creative direction and support the Teamhead guiding and supervising the team through its implementation
Elaborate and present concepts, sketches, and final designs in a compelling, clear, transparent, and effective way to the design team as well as our product counterparts and external stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a holistic approach to the product as well as a consumer centered strategy, following the brand’s perspective
Integrate product, functional, and technical developments into design tasks in order to improve business processes and enhance customer/consumer engagement
Challenge the global brand positioning guidelines to ensure consideration of new product and program ideas and appropriate modification when necessary
Collect market intelligence, providing all accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizing them effectively
In support of the Teamhead, help to manage, mentor, and inspire other members of the design team as well as external resources (freelancers, etc)
Keep track and support the team to deliver projects in line with PUMA development calendar.
Your talent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Apparel Design in the sportswear or casual sports lifestyle industry in a performance category
At least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position
Strong knowledge of fabrics and new industry technologies
Very good sense for colors, creativity and design talent
Excellent Macintosh skills and knowledge including Adobe creative suite
Exceptional ability to see projects through all phases of research, design, initial and final prototypes
Very good communication and presentation skills in English
Flexible and well organized Teamplayer
University degree in Design and/or relevant field of study
