Full Description

Our Entertainment Content Operations team plays a critical role in bringing the best entertainment experiences to our subscribers. Working behind the scenes, the team ensures that acquired content is accurately prepared, managed, and delivered across Foxtel Group platforms, enabling customers to easily discover and enjoy the content they love. 

We're looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Rights & Metadata Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring acquired content is accurately prepared and published across Foxtel Group platforms in line with editorial standards and content rights obligations. 

Reporting to our Rights & Metadata Manager and working closely with the Content Acquisition team, you will manage the entry and maintenance of rights and metadata information, ensuring content is displayed correctly, accurately, and consistently across our portfolio. You'll also play a key role in improving processes and enhancing the quality of metadata that powers our customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage rights and metadata information within scheduling and content management systems. 
  • Enter acquisition details, usage restrictions, and rights information accurately and within agreed timeframes. 
  • Source, edit, and optimise program information for customer-facing platforms including Foxtel and BINGE. 
  • Partner with distributors, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to acquire, enrich, and maintain content metadata. 
  • Ensure content relationships and metadata structures support accurate content discovery and presentation across platforms. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality metadata and rights solutions. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and operational processes to drive greater efficiency and accuracy. 

About your experience

You'll bring a passion for content, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment, including: 

  • 3–5 years' experience in rights management and/or metadata and written material procurement and editing. 
  • Experience working with rights management and content systems such as IBMS, WhatsOn, or similar platforms. 
  • Strong written editing and content administration skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies and interpret complex information. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and adapt to changing business needs. 
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
