Your mission
As a Research & Sport Science Lab Assistant at PUMA, you will support the design, execution, and analysis of biomechanical and physiological tests to drive product initiatives for our innovation team. Your primary focus will be —but not limited to— running and track and field footwear. You will play a key role in translating research findings to a multidisciplinary team, directly relating findings to footwear design and athlete performance.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the PUMA NITRO™ Lab collecting and processing human subject data focused on performance.
Leverage scientific expertise to develop and implement protocols that deliver actionable performance insights.
Recruit and schedule participants for lab testing.
Analyze biomechanical data and prepare scientific reports based on findings.
Support in translation and communication of results to key stakeholders.
Your talent
BS or MS in Kinesiology, Engineering, Biomechanics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
Proven experience working with human subjects, experience working with athletes is a plus.
Strong technical skills with biomechanical & physiological equipment (3D motion capture, force plates, IMUs, pressure insoles, indirect calorimetry)
Experience with data processing using Visual3D and Matlab/Python
Experience in footwear is a plus
Excellent organization and time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
A passion for footwear and human performance
The base pay for this position is $36 per hour + Product Discount.
