WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Release Management team partners across Nike’s global technology and business functions to ensure seamless delivery of change and release processes. You’ll work closely with product, program, quality, engineering, support, and IT teams, reporting to leaders who drive operational strategy and release excellence.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking a Release Manager with proven experience in managing complex release and change processes within large, federated organizations. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, matrixed environments, demonstrates exceptional communication skills, and applies structured problem- solving to deliver operational stability. You bring deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and risk management strategies, combined with a data-driven approach to process optimization.

Requirements:
• Experience in release/change management within global organizations
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Lean, SAFE), ITIL, and continuous delivery principles
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, AWS
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk and contingency planning for production changes
• Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to leadership
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with ambiguity

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Release Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of release processes across Nike’s global technology ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness, stability, and continuous improvement of release frameworks.

In this role, you will:
• Partner with product, program, quality, engineering, and support teams to define release strategies and cadence
• Manage all change activities from planning through testing, deployment, and validation
• Develop risk management and contingency plans for critical releases
• Apply structured problem-solving to debug complex systems and identify root causes
• Optimize release processes with a focus on automation and operational stability
• Define and publish key metrics to measure release effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
• Lead go/no-go meetings, retrospectives, and provide clear, timely status reports to stakeholders
• Participate in PI Planning and capability stand-ups to align on upcoming release scope
• Drive best practices for CI/CD pipeline operations and tooling enhancements
