RETRAINING OF RACEHORSES JOB ADVERTISEMENT FOR REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER ‐ COVERING STATEMENT Recruiter Retraining of Racehorses Location Northern Salary Competitive Posted 16/04/2025 Closes 18/05/2025 Sector Management, Administration and Field work Job Role Regional Development Officer Contract Type Part‐time, 2 days per week 12-month fixed -term (with a view to extend) Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) is British Horseracing’s official equine charity established in 2000 f or the welfar e of horses that have retir ed from racing. In order to further develop the RoR regional education and community support programme, RoR are seeking a professional and self-motivated individual who will oversee delivery of RoR activity within the Northern Region There will be times when the Northern Regional Development Officer (RDO) is required to travel out of area to assist with delivery of education initiatives and for meetings with the wider team . Key responsibilities of the RDOs will be to manage and develop RoR activity in their allocated region, deliver specific educational events, expand the regional RoR community support network, manage the regional budgets and accounts and recruit and manage RoR regional volunteers. This positio n is part‐time, wit h a fixed salar y base d on two days’ wor k per week.
