POSITION SUMMARY:

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing operational efficiency, while ensuring product quality. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze program specifications for production feasibility, provide recommendations regarding cost and quality improvements, and prepare internal instructions and bill of materials. Ultimately you will develop collation instructions to facilitate the production of final finished goods and set-up configurations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform production strategies, troubleshoot potential technical challenges, and implement best practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  2. Review product specifications for accuracy, reporting any potential inefficiencies to the appropriate teams, and recommend revisions to streamline the manufacturing process.
  3. Prepare working files for importing into “Visual” manufacturing software and develop GC's bill of material by transcribing the product information to Excel/Visual and assigning part numbers.
  4. Review product change documents and update the bill of materials and project set-up as needed, before communicating the updated information to purchasing and coordinators to maintain customer satisfaction.
  5. Support to the engineering supervisor as needed by attending meetings, assisting other team members with workload overflow, and remaining flexible to complete tasks to keep product schedules on track.
  6. Perform pack-out checks with the customer and address any questions or issues that arise during the start-up process.
  7. Prepare collation loops/mixes to instruct execution for final finished good production and set-up configurations.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

This position requires a thorough knowledge of the print and finishing industries. This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, handle and reach. This job also requires clear vision at 20 inches or less (can be correctable with lenses), peripheral vision, distant vision, color vision and the ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus. The ability to visualize in 3-D is very important. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.) is a plus.
  3. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
  4. Proven experience in process optimization and production planning.
  5. Extensive knowledge of Excel; graphic arts production or finishing experience is preferred.
  6. Experience working with bill of materials.
  7. Experience with an ERP software system and Longford collation system is a plus.

  1. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  2. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  4. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Environment and Scheduling:

  • Work is primarily performed in an administrative office setting.
  • Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
  • Some travel may be required.
