WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager to lead critical efforts in the Foundational Platforms team. This role requires a product expert who is well-versed in new tech advancements in compute platforms, platform engineering and is capable of guiding product teams in these domains. This role will also plan, strategize, communicate and manage delivery timelines as we deliver and help teams adopt modern compute platforms to gain operational efficiencies and drive maximum business value. 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Set the technical vision and strategy for prioritized product areas & capabilities utilizing a customer-centric mindset to meet current and future enterprise needs

  • Develop roadmap aligned to business & technical strategy and objectives

  • Ensure roadmaps account for and integrate dependencies across functional areas within Domains and partner Platforms

  • Partners with key stakeholders across Technology and Business to prioritize quarterly and long-term roadmaps and finalize annual plans

  • Defines product metrics and value, and communicate value delivery to leadership and stakeholders clearly - track value delivery, product usage & adoption, performance, and execution against the end to end roadmap

  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, customers, and peers 

  • Drive adherence to all standard TPM ways of working and ensure product model maturity throughout all levels to the product team

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH 

This role reports to Sr Director of Technical Product Management.  While leading Foundational Platform Tech Product Management, you will partner with engineering and product leaders across multiple functions to develop a cohesive product strategy, product roadmap, and to ensure business goals are met and exceeded. You will deliver value based on a solid understanding of platform engineering, consumer needs and insights. Above all, you will be a relentless champion for the needs of our partners serving Nike consumers.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • 5 + years of experience in platform or cloud engineering and product management. 

  • Proven success and experience delivering clear executive level communications. 

  • Multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) experience preferred. 

  • Have a good understanding of containerization and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with working across Platform, Operations, SRE, Enterprise Architecture, and Cyber Security to build core platform products and make “build versus buy” decisions.
