The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a PR & Media Manager to join us as an integral member of our busy press office team, playing a key role in delivering proactive and reactive communications during one of the most intensive and high-profile periods of the Games.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Media & Communications, the PR & Media Manager will be responsible for proactively engaging the media and key stakeholders through creative, insight-driven PR and storytelling, while responding swiftly to the fast-moving demands of a live Games environment. Joining in the critical lead-up phase, the PR & Media Manager will hit the ground running, supporting pre-Games momentum and delivery.
Key responsibilities include implementing integrated PR and media strategies that support Glasgow 2026 strategic objectives, building strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters, influencers, and media outlets, and delivering creative, multi-channel communications campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and excitement for the Games.
Key Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role you will bring significant experience in a PR, media relations, or communications role, ideally within major events, consumer brands, culture or sport, where you have demonstrated skills in executing fully integrated PR campaigns, from ideation to implementation. You will have a strong understanding of the UK and international media landscape, with a track record of securing impactful media coverage, and knowledge of corporate and consumer communications, media relations and digital PR. Strong crisis communications and storytelling skills will be key to your success, alongside strong organisation skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: Starting salary is from £46,350. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
