Premier Padel seeks a People Manager to lead HR operations in London and Spain, promoting talent retention, recruitment, and a positive workplace culture in the world’s fastest-growing sport.

Full Description

About Us

We showcase the best players in the world, playing in iconic cities across the globe, bringing padel to new audiences in venues and on international TV, driving commercial success and inspiring people to take part. Premier Padel is governed by the International Padel Federation, the sport’s governing body, and supported by the Professional Padel Association (men) and the International Padel Players Association (women). We have a shared ambition in delivering a competition that gives padel the optimal platform to grow and take its place amongst the world’s most popular sports, with huge aspirations of becoming an Olympic sport.

This is an exciting time to join Premier Padel as part of a new team and will be integral to the future growth of the tour in the world’s fastest-growing sport.

About the Role

We are looking for our first-ever People Manager to join our growing Premier Padel team in London. This role will support our team in both London and Spain, requiring a strong understanding of HR operations across both locations.

As a true generalist, you will lead all HR operations and strategy, creating and driving innovative initiatives that align with the company’s mission and goals. You will shape the HR landscape, ensuring a high-performing, agile, and inclusive environment that attracts and retains top talent.

Given our international presence, fluency in Spanish is essential for this role, along with extensive experience in Spanish employment law and HR practices.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, employment laws, and best practices, ensuring compliance with both UK and Spanish regulations while mitigating risk.

  • Lead on all Spanish employment law matters, ensuring HR policies and practices align with Spanish legislation.

  • Manage recruitment processes across both Spain and the UK, focusing on attracting top talent while ensuring compliance with Spanish and UK hiring regulations.

  • Oversee all back-office HR operations, including payroll, benefits, HR processes, and compliance in both Spain and the UK—ensuring a seamless and efficient foundation for Premier Padel’s HR function.

  • Collaborate with leaders to support workforce planning, ensuring departments have the right talent and resources in both locations.

  • Implement engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture across multiple regions, driving employee satisfaction and motivation.

  • Develop and implement a performance management process, including coaching and development opportunities tailored to our international workforce.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).

  • Significant experience in HR operations within Spain, including a strong understanding of Spanish employment law, compliance, and best practices.

  • Proven experience in a similar level HR role within a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Strong operational and strategic people experience, with excellent knowledge of HR frameworks in both Spain and the UK.

  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Experience implementing new HR technology and operating frameworks to drive consistency and efficiency across an international organisation.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, IR35 regulations, pensions, and immigration processes.

  • A minimum of CIPD Level 5, ideally working towards Level 7.

  • Expertise in payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions

  • Excellent ability to apply judgment and creativity to generate new and innovative ideas.

Premier Padel promotes inclusion and diversity and welcomes applications from everyone. If you have any particular requirements regarding the recruitment or interview process, please mention this in your covering letter.
