PCR Operator

We are looking for an individual to join our PCR team based in Tokyo. You will need to be able to work in a challenging environment ensuring our live operations are uninterrupted and run smoothly to the highest standards. Our work is mission critical. We are responsible for the management of incoming and outgoing IP streams and signals both locally and from across the Globe for delivery to our viewers in Japan. Our schedules follow global sport calendars, so this position requires the candidate to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays on a shift basis. The ideal candidate will need to prove their ability to work in a busy broadcast environment.

You will join a fun and close-knit team of diverse individuals, each with their own experiences in various fields and backgrounds. Though experience is ideal, we also strongly value the desire to learn over previous experience. We are also proud that despite the workload, we try and keep a relatively relaxed atmosphere in the PCR. There’s always someone with a snack or two who will replenish your depleting sugar levels during a busy yet fun filled shift in the PCR!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage IP contribution circuits
• Quality control of our transmissions and commentary audio mixes
• Coordinate local commentators
• Communicate and coordinate with our main MCRs (Main Control Room) and Transmission operators in the UK
• Assist our Production gallery during live events

You will be set up for success if you have:

• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work nights and weekends on a semi-regular basis
• Ability to speak conversational English and Japanese
• Knowledge of or interest in Broadcast media
• An interest in Sports

• Knowledge of IP protocols and networking
• Prior experience working within an MCR environment
• Excellent communication skills
