The Manager, Motorsports represents a key role within our Motorsport team taking on responsibility for developing and implementing events, hospitality programmes and brand experiences, at and away from track, with support from and to account team members.
Account Overview:
As a result of growth to a key client’s global partnership portfolio, Wasserman is looking for a motivated Manager to join the Brands team. This position is fundamental to managing account teams to plan and deliver partnership events and hospitality planning, aligned to client requirements in terms of audience/guest profile, objectives, budget parameters, and performance KPIs.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Development and management of a trusted and healthy client relationship as day-to-day contact
Lead the relationships and management of client markets, all agencies, and F1 motorsport partners
Effective management of regular project and status meetings with clients (and markets where relevant), including consolidation of notes and actions
Support in the campaign strategy and project planning (with Account lead)
Lead all market communication, global toolkits, activation planning
Development and management of project timelines, budgets, invoicing/cost management, PO’s
Implementation of all aspects of race campaign touch points including; asset mapping and tracking, general rights delivery, talent/ambassador appearances, live activations, digital & social strategies, PR & Comms
Support in KPI setting and campaign evaluation
Approvals process and management with F1 and motorsport network
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
Agency experience, preferably Motorsport (F1) experience
Experience working on large global consumer brands is preferred, but not essential
Ability to influence decision making processes, both within the Agency and the client organisation
Ability to multi-task; you will be working across a number of activities with tight deadlines
Ability to think on your feet and take appropriate actions to resolve any unforeseen issues as they arise while keeping professional and poised exterior
Ability to enthuse and motivate others
Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail
Creative thinking
Knowledge of, and passion for, Formula 1 is essential while wider sport, music & entertainment is a bonus
