THE JOB

Reporting to the Associate Director, Sports Medicine, the Part-time Nurse will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist clinic doctor in medical consultation and performing clinical procedures;
• To provide quality nursing care to scholarship athletes: first aid treatment, clinical nursing care, wound management and vaccinations;
• To deliver administration work of the Hong Kong Sports Institute Clinic
• To assist clinic doctor in medical screening; and
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse (Hong Kong Nursing Council) with a valid practicing certificate;
• Minimum of 4 years' post-registration clinical experience for Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse;
• Sports medicine experience (including athletes health care, sports related wound management) is an advantage;
• Able to work more than 20 hours per week is an added advantage;
• Knowledge of World Anti-Doping Agencys (WADA) anti-doping regulations and experience is an advantage;
• Good command of spoken and written English; Able to communicate in Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
