The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technology and Broadcast Division as Operations Coordinator – a pivotal role supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of the core technology solutions that will power the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Sitting within a dynamic and evolving division, this role plays a key part in ensuring that plans stay on track, documentation remains aligned, and communication flows effectively across a network of internal teams and external delivery partners.

Working closely with the Head of Technology Operations, you’ll help connect the moving parts that make the Games possible – from information sharing and scheduling to operational readiness and Games-time support.

Job Summary:

As Operations Coordinator (Technology), you will provide essential support across the Technology and Broadcast Division, helping to plan, track, and coordinate key operational processes, documents, and timelines. You’ll be responsible for preparing reports, briefing papers, and presentations for a range of stakeholders, while coordinating communication across the Organising Company and delivery partners.

You’ll organise and attend meetings, workshops, and events as required – ensuring clear records, actions, and decisions are captured and followed up. You’ll also monitor shared project timelines, identify risks and dependencies, and help keep all aspects of delivery aligned and on schedule.

During Games-time, you’ll support operations within the Technology Operations Centre, helping to ensure technology services run smoothly and efficiently across all venues. This is a collaborative and fast-paced role that calls for strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt as priorities evolve throughout the lifecycle of the Games.

Key Skills and Experience:

Success in this role requires excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a complex, evolving environment. The ideal candidate will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

You’ll have outstanding attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. Strong administrative and documentation skills are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience working in fast-paced environments such as large-scale events, festivals, or complex projects is desirable. Knowledge of Games systems (such as accreditation or volunteer management platforms), timing and results systems, venue technology, or broadcast operations would be an advantage.

Salary: Starting salary is from £27,500.  Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
