Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The candidate will be involved in:
Pre-Games Responsibilities:
- Lead the collection of qualitative and quantificative operational data from various sources and systems across Functional Areas.
- Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive reporting framework (possibly in Power BI), ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Liaise with IT teams and system developers to optimize data extraction, processing, and visualization workflows.
- Develop automated and manual reporting tools to consolidate key operational information, including:
- Issue Management System: Tracking and reporting operational issues identified by the MOC Management Team.
- Weather Reports: Ensuring accurate and up-to-date meteorological information.
- Forward-Looking Reports: Anticipating and addressing potential operational concerns.
- Performance Statistics: Monitoring and evaluating key metrics from different Functional Areas.
- Event & Competition Schedules: Tracking schedule changes and their operational impact.
- Confidential Data Management: Handling sensitive medical and security-related information securely and in compliance with regulations.
Games Time Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the Data Collection and Reporting team within the MOC.
- Lead the consolidation, validation, and timely production of the Daily MOC Report and the Executive Report.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, relevant, and distributed to key stakeholders for effective decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity and troubleshoot reporting issues in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols, particularly regarding confidential information
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technologies, Finance, Information Systems, Project Management (Agile), Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in implementing and managing enterprise-level software tools for planning, management, issue tracking, and resolution.
- Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation, automation, and data visualization.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with experience working across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage system integrations and generate detailed performance reports.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and working in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in large-scale event operations (e.g., Olympic Games, World Championships, or other major international events).
- Understanding of issue management systems and operational reporting in complex environments.
- Background in IT systems, data governance, supply chain or business intelligence related to event management.
- Knowledge of Operational Readiness and Risk and Issue Management processes is an advantage
Additional Information:
- The role requires flexibility, including potential shifts and extended working hours during Games Time.
- The selected candidate will be expected to work closely with multiple departments, ensuring an integrated and proactive approach to data-driven decision-making within the MOC
