Position

Plan and deliver Port(s) of Entry operations by air and rail with the Airport Operations Manager. Plan the Venue Airport Operations with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This includes developing and documenting operational plans such as the Venue Operating Plan, contingency plans, and daily run sheets.

Planned recruitment will be scheduled to support the development and successful execution of the games plan.

Additionally, continuous coordination and communication with external airport operators and other Functional Areas (internal stakeholders) is essential to ensure the quality and success of the Games’ operations.

•Support and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as airport authorities, handling agents, and various Functional Areas (FAs) and client owners to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained during the Arrivals and Departures phases;

•Coordinate integrated planning and actively participate in working groups with Transport, Logistics, and client-owner FAs;

•Represent the Organising Committee’s (OC) interests in external stakeholder and project team meetings, in collaboration with senior managers;

•Ensure the Arrivals and Departures team deliver all operational aspects to agreed standards and provide necessary support to other FAs;

•During Games Time, act as the Airport Venue Duty Manager, supporting all FAs in their operations and serving as the key onsite contact for airport authorities and stakeholders;

•This role also involves supporting the planning of Arrivals & Departures operations at rail stations in coordination with the relevant FAs.

Requirements

•Experience working at a Major Event, Airport Authority, Handling Agent or Tour Operator with a good knowledge and understanding of arrivals and departures requirements and challenges experienced in managing Groups and VIP’s.

•Evidence of ability to apply a clear, logical, and coherent approach to the analysis of complex issues, and the development and implementation of recommendations for next step action;

•Demonstrated ability to work with, and influence, internal/external stakeholders to successfully assist strong working relationships and joint decision-making;

•Ability to proactively contribute to operational discussions and to manage challenging situations;

•Demonstrated resilience and ability in responding proactively to changes and priorities in a fast-paced and off hours work environment;

•Project management skills;
