Reporting to the Venue Media Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that media representatives from across the globe can operate efficiently, comfortably, and effectively as they cover the Games.
You will help prepare and manage key media spaces such as the Venue Media Centre, mixed zones, media tribunes, and photographer areas, ensuring they meet operational requirements and deliver an exceptional experience for international media.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you will support media enquiries, coordinate volunteers, and work closely with multiple functional areas to ensure seamless delivery during Games-time.
This is a 3 - 4 week fixed-term contract for Games-time, starting mid-July 2026.
Job Summary:

You will welcome media representatives on-site, acting as a key point of contact for enquiries and ensuring a professional and supportive experience at all times.
The role involves supporting the setup and operation of media facilities, including Venue Media Centres, mixed zones, interview areas (I-Zones), media tribunes, and photographer workspaces, ensuring all areas are fully operational and meet required specifications.
You will assist in coordinating photographer positions and managing access to key media areas, helping to ensure fair and efficient coverage of competition events.
You will monitor and support essential services within media areas, including connectivity, power, catering, cleaning, and technical support, ensuring everything runs smoothly throughout Games-time.
A key part of the role will involve leading and supporting a team of media volunteers, including finalising rosters, managing schedule changes, and ensuring volunteers are effectively deployed across media operations.
You will build strong working relationships with other functional teams across the venue, ensuring collaborative and integrated delivery of services.

You will have experience working in an operational role at sporting or large-scale events, with an appreciation of the needs of international media and broadcast professionals.
Experience coordinating or supporting teams—particularly volunteers—will be important, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
You will be a confident problem-solver, able to think on your feet and respond quickly to operational challenges while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
