Full Description
The primary responsibilities of the Materials Planner will be to manage all aspects of Import Purchase Orders (POs) from pre-PO issuance planning, receipt of POs, production through to handing over goods at the Port/Carrier.
Responsibility
- Communicate material requirements forecast and material purchase commitments to supply chain teams.
- Confirm ship dates with Vendors & Suppliers based on griege commitments and communicate to the supply chain teams.
- Manage the aged material process, including maintaining, analyzing the aged material tracker in coordination, and communicating the final liability disposition.
- Manage the material min/max stock program at vendors through meetings with Fanatics U.S. Planning team to analyze and adjust levels monthly; communicate levels to suppliers; manage material stock files in coordination with buy timing; maintain capacity for stock program and communicate constraints; track buy schedule with planning; manage chase business in season.
- Track and provide visibility to all excess material liabilities and work with the cross-functional teams to develop plans utilization strategies.
- Create, maintain and publish capacity reports to track metrics, forecast to actual analysis and deliveries to drive the optimal delivery dates.
- Comprehend key forecast inputs and trends and the downstream impact on material requirements.
- Utilize Bill of Material systems, processes, and general disciplines to support material analysis.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews supplier meetings.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to implement strategic solutions to continually improve our materials management processes.
- Schedule and host meetings with suppliers in US and/or globally to proactively manage material and eliminate shortages as required.
- Identify and implement process & business improvement strategies with vendor, manufacturing, and planning partners.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of related experience in fabric / apparel manufacturing preferred
- College / University degree in Industrial / Textile Engineering (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience on Mills/Textile Industry or material planner background is highly recommended
- Excellent understanding of the entire apparel supply chain process from design concept to receipt of goods
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, communication, customer services, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (Thai and English)
- Excellent PC skills (Micro Strategy, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic textile and construction knowledge
- Ability to work across teams and departments - must be comfortable in working in a team environment.
- Thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and flexible work environment.
- Ability to Negotiate and have the social skills to interact with all levels of people of our Vendor network.
- Multi country travel up to 15%.
