About the Role

Based in New York, the Manager, Strategy Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving business strategy and performance and providing insights that shape the future of Fanatics Live and Collect. The Manager will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, leading strategic initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive key business decisions. The Manager will work closely with senior leadership, including preparing executive-level presentations that communicate critical financial and strategic insights. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to impact Fanatics Live and Fanatics Collect's long-term success by supporting growth strategies, operational improvements, and capital allocation decisions.

We are looking for a highly analytical thinker with a strong financial background who is both detail-oriented and proactive. The ideal candidate will be skilled at interpreting complex financial and operational data and translating it into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and exhibit the ability to collaborate across teams. Individuals with a demonstrated passion for sports, culture and entertainment will likely find themselves as a strong cultural fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights that support strategic decision-making
  • In conjunction with Fanatics Holdings M&A team, evaluate and diligence potential M&A opportunities and present data-driven recommendations on perspective targets
  • Prepare and present financial reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead the development and implementation of long-term financial and operational strategies
  • Identify and evaluate out-of-the-box strategic initiatives to help grow the business for long-term success
  • Manage ad hoc financial projects, analyses, and presentations for the executive team
  • Analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement
  • Partner with various business functions (Marketing, Operations, Product Development) to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to improve financial processes and systems Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, strategic finance, or corporate finance, preferably in a dynamic environment
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key business metrics
  • Prior experience working with senior leadership or C-suite executives
  • Experience in the sports collectibles or consumer goods industry is a plus Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build partnerships across departments
  • Proactive, self-starter with a passion for driving results and continuous improvement
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheet and financial modeling skills; experience with financial software is a plus (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, or similar).

In NYC, the salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $110,000-$138,000. The listed salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
